Main – Nervous System Stir-Fry

Burnout can leave you feeling wired, exhausted, and too overwhelmed to cook. But your body still craves what it’s missing—minerals, protein, and stabilizing nutrients that calm your system and bring you back to center. This quick stir-fry is fast, flavorful, and built to support your recovery—without overcomplicating your day.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp olive or coconut oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • ½ cup sliced carrots
  • ½ block tofu or tempeh, cubed
  • 1 tbsp tamari or low-sodium soy sauce
  • Optional: sprinkle of sesame seeds

Directions:

  • Heat oil in a pan, sauté garlic until fragrant.
  • Add broccoli, carrots, and tofu. Stir-fry for 7–10 minutes.
  • Add tamari and cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Serve warm, topped with sesame seeds.

How It Helps with Burnout & Stress:

  • Olive or Coconut Oil: Healthy fats support hormone production and help absorb fat-soluble vitamins—essential when your stress hormones are out of balance.
  • Garlic: A natural anti-inflammatory that supports immune health and helps your body detox the byproducts of chronic stress.
  • Broccoli: Rich in fiber, folate, and magnesium—key for calming the nervous system and supporting brain function.
  • Carrots: High in antioxidants and vitamin A to support adrenal glands and help stabilize mood swings.
  • Tofu or Tempeh: Excellent plant-based protein with amino acids that aid in neurotransmitter function (like serotonin), helping regulate mood and improve focus.
  • Tamari or Low-Sodium Soy Sauce: Adds flavor while providing a small hit of minerals like sodium and potassium that help replenish what stress depletes.
  • Sesame Seeds (Optional): Packed with calcium and magnesium to support relaxation and bone health, especially helpful during high-stress cycles.
